HIPSTER HOME has moved its location to 237 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, Pa. Thats right, after less than a year we have outgrown our current location and will expand into a much larger space. This new space is "ultra-cool" and will afford us the ability to expand our great line of products that will include more furniture and kitchen wares helping us achieve our goal of becoming one of the most unique shopping venues in the area.
We offer *Gus Modern* furniture and is a quality design firm in Canada with clean, contemporary lines that can only be appreciated in person. Stocking this line gives us the ability to custom design any furniture piece with select fabric choices. We are also proud to offer the absolute best in wine accessories with Riedel Crystal & Decanters which includes their new Vitis varietal stemware. Riedel crystal is in the permanent collection at the Museum of Contemporary Art in NY, and has been called "the pinnacle of modern design" by some of the worlds top sommeliers. Speaking of a "buzz", Hipster Home has just finished a job for The Radcliffe Group, a large investment firm on City Line Avenue and we are now helping W Hotels fill one of their beautiful hotels on the East Coast. W Hotels is tapping us for some of our great, dependable, well designed products.
Hipster Home has been voted by shoppers and Fox 29 News as the "Best Housewares Store in Philadelphia" (check it out at www.myfoxphilly.com and look for the "Hot List" icon). Look for our article in the spring 2008 Philadelphia Style Magazine. Also, look for our commercial on HGTV, BRAVO and the Food Network. The commercial gives great exposure to Phoenixville's growing popularity and of course features our store - Hipster Home.
Destinations Candles & Votivo are the primary scent lines - for those of you who are not familiar with Destinations (Paddywax) or Votivo, I promise you will not be disappointed as they have a bit of a cult following. As stated above, *Gus Modern* is our furniture line (if you want a sneak preview go to www.gusmodern.com). We also offer a great line of leather/club chairs and some bentwood Asian chairs that are primitive yet contemporary and are regular features in design publications such as Elle Decor, Metropolitan Home, Domino, & Dwell. You will also find some of the most unique home accessories in this area, as we have worked hard to find fabulous objects to fill your home such as stemware and china from Murval & Roost, and designer travel bags, totes, and computer bags from Paris.
Our store features the works of Jeff Schaller who has an extensive list of professional credentials that includes Iron Hill Restaurants, the city of Philadelphia subway exhibitions and The Museum of Contemporary Art, and the T.V. hit shows 'Friends' and 'Joey'. You can also expect to see some of the most unique wall treatments (faux paint finishes) available, and we will offer 'In house wall treatments' to our customers as an added service (just visit the store to see some of the wall treatments we offer). These are high end wall treatments that include real Venetian plastering and waxed top coats for added depth and age (you cannot get these finishes from a store or in a can - these are artisan treatments).
